In a comparatively long period of time in the future, coal-fired power is still themain way of power generation. However, due to the change of coal market andeconomics, mixed coal is the inevitable choice of many power plants. However in thecurrent the reports about the mixed combustion of multiple fuel were still rare. In thepaper the experimental research was performed for the economics and safety of powerplant boiler with mixed burning of lignite, as well as the effect of which on eachsubsystem was investigated. The tested results have an important meaning for thesystem operation of the power plant with mixed fuel.This tests was performed in No.3boiler of Huaxi Electricity InternationalDevelopment Co. LTD in Xiamen, Chinese, the boiler was produced by ShanghaiBoiler Co. LTD, which is a forced circulation subcritical drum boiler with model ofSG-1025/17.47-M895. The mixed coal from Shenhua company was burned by thepower plant before. In order to adapt to the current change of electricity coal market andto broaden the fountainhead of power supply channels, and to further reduce coal cost,the lignite coal was planned to be burned in No.3boiler. In view of great differencefuel parameters between the mixed coal and originally designed coal, in order to get thecoal burning on the unit operation when the influence of various parameters, especiallyfor system powder system, the influence of the combustion system, the optimizedoperation of mixed burned boiler was performed in order to determine the burningfurnace with lignite control of slagging adjust strategy, and at the same time through theexperiment work of mixed burn lignite, finally evaluation with lignite for boiler burningthis economy and safety, the effects of the content of the burn with lignite determine theburn rate and operation mode, the no.3boiler burning with lignite combustionoptimizing adjustment test.During the experiment, the tests were elaborately adjusted. Through a largenumber of test data collection and analysis, an optimal operation mode of the boiler, therecommended parameters optimization after the operation,3boiler heat efficiency isincreased by0.62%, according to recommend the operation mode operation, the boilerrun economy will get a great improvement.By the optimal allocation of grinding machine air, the lignite proportion of mixedburning was increased from35%to47%, and mixing proportion and dramatically increased.The boiler slagging state was thoroughly checked in the test and the furnacetemperature was measured. At the recommended mixed burn ratio, the safe and stableoperation of the boiler can be retained in long-term, there is no slag phenomenon whichinfluence the safe operation of the boiler.
