A good indoor air quality can not only provide a healthy environment, but also canimprove human’s work efficiency. In this paper, the Demand Control Ventilation basedon IAQ was studied. Demand Control Ventilation is a real-time fresh air control strategywhich based on the indoor personnel change, in order to satisfy the IAQ need.First, with the changing of air quality assessment as a starting point, the influenceof personnel adaptability to air quality assessment and the difference assessment underthe condition of fatigue were researched by objective test along with subjective survey.While the air quality subjective evaluation index includes air quality sensation,air satisfaction, freshness sensation, peculiar smell sensation and dreariness sensation.Second, on the basis of personnel adaptability to air quality assessment, the improvedDCV were proposed for introducing the personnel adaptability. At last the ventilationmodel of air-conditioning room were build and verified, at the same time the improvedDCV was simulated by simulink which is an important module in the software.On the basis of experiment research and simulation, the main conclusions asfollows:1) The CO2concentration is closely related with personnel change, the lawbetween personnel change and CO2concentration was obtained: Y=7.2415x+351.18,correlation coefficient is0.9537. When person is the main pollution source, taking CO2concentration as a control index will satisfy IAQ need.2)Under normal condition,due to the indoor environment is influenced bypersonnel adaptability, the air quality assessment of indoor personnel showed a trend ofadaption to the environment. The adaption process of indoor environment was slow,before15minutes, the assessment changed small, while changed a lot between30minutes to60minutes, after60minutes, tended to stabilize.3) Under the condition of fatigue, the subjective evaluation index includes airquality sensation, air satisfaction, freshness sensation, peculiar smell sensation,dreariness sensation all showed the downtrend. While people in this condition are moresensitive to peculiar smell sensation and dreariness sensation.4) Due to the air quality assessment is influenced by personnel adaptability, theconcept of “adaptability factor of a” was proposed and applied to the improved DCV.5) The improved DCV was simulated by simulink. The simulation showed that: the improved DCV not only meet the air quality control requirements, but also save freshair volume by28.2%compared with constant air volume system.
