The Research Of Modern Rail Transit System Design Under Eco-city Plan

Urban traffic has long been an issue harassing industrial developed countries since the 20th century. And traffic jam has become a worldwide headache. Currently, traffic issue has emerged as a challenge confronting the large-&-middle-scaled cities of our country, which will surely hamper the sustainable and healthy development of our social economy, as well as endangering our living quality, if not tackled promptly and properly. Based on the basic theory of ecological city, a study has been carried out in this paper to research upon rail transit system design of the ecological city. Through analyzing the major problems facing large cities of our country and taking successful ecological city construction cases abroad as references, the author of this paper intends to demonstrate that rational and scientific urban programming and green transportation system shall advance the construction of ecological cities in our country, and meanwhile, to offer some proposals some suggestions for building traffic system of ecological cities in the future.A brief introduction of the research background is put forward firstly in this paper:during recent years, along with the rapid development of our economy, continuous expansion of city scale, and increasing urban population and vehicles, the traditional road and traffic facilities are not enough to satisfy the demand posed by current traffic conditions. Although local governments have published various corresponding policies to reconstruct or newly build road facilities, yet these measures can only relieve the road pressure caused by heavy traffic for a short period of time. Traffic congestion will not only deteriorate the urban ecological environment, but also gravely impede the healthy urban development, and therefore, urban traffic development should not be underestimated, and problems should be attached great attention to.Through analyzing features of ecological city and integrating ecological city planning theory, this paper underlines the importance of rational planning of urban functional division. Based on the analysis upon the disadvantages of traditional traffic system, this paper has put forward the idea of building ecological city’s traffic system, and meanwhile, taking Shenyang City as an example, designed green transportation scheme favoring people’s traveling as well as easing traffic pressure, namely the light railway and concerned traffic hub design.Multiple branches of disciplines have been referred to and incorporated in this paper, such as traffic, urban planning, industrial design, ecology, vehicle engineering, etc. Through probing the traffic system in ecological cities, this paper has proposed rational traffic model, which will function as favorable reference and direction for urban traffic system development.
