Biomass energy is a clean renewable energy, being the world’s attention. Biomass pellet fuel is the use of agriculture, forestry wastes (such as sawdust, straw, etc.) as raw material, after crushing, drying, mixing and extrusion process, and is made of rod-like, block fuel, with the advantage of density, small volume and easy storage. The biomass pellet fuel ignition is the key technology for the development and utilization of biomass combustion equipment, which has a particularly important practical significance for the promotion and application of biomass combustion furnace.Based on the analysis of the theory of the biomass ignition mechanism, heating, resistance heating and hot air ignition process, this paper organically combines biomass pellet fuel ignition timing, and uses an additional heat gravimetric analysis technology to make an experimental analysis of biomass pellet fuel combustion characteristics.This paper makes an elemental analysis of corn stalks, sawdust, cotton stalk, and rice husk four kinds of biomass pellet fuel, then makes an industry analysis of corn stalks, coffee husks, sawdust, cotton stalks and other eight kinds of biomass pellet fuel, after the analysis of experimental data according to industry by the analysis of biomass pellet fuel ignition and combustion characteristics of indicators, it gets the ignition sequence of the different particle fuel, and finally this paper takes corn stalks, cotton stalks and wood chips this three typical particle fuels as the ignition and combustion characteristics for the study object.To build the test bed for the ignition of the hot wall and hot air ignition, then to do hot air ignition research. According to CO2/CO fire criterion mechanism, it makes a research on the law that hot wall temperature has influence on CO2and CO wood pellets under different hot wall temperatures CO2/CO; observing the flame, analyzing the supply air temperature, wind speed, sample mass and the influence particle diameter has on the ignition time, finally we obtained three kinds of typical biomass pellet fuel ignition timing changes under different experimental conditions. Using thermal gravimetric analysis technique to study the sample mass, heating rate on the pyrolysis process as well as the carrier gas atmosphere, the impact of traffic on the pyrolysis and combustion characteristics, to get the TG-DTG curves under different experimental conditions; using volatile analysis to get characteristics of the index, ignition temperature, combustion stability of the discrimination index and combustion characteristics of the index to determine the combustion properties of biomass pellet fuel.The experimental results show that through oxyfuel technology, if we choose reasonable parameters of the hot air, ignition and combustion characteristics of biomass pellet fuel can be significantly improved. Research results in this article provide a theoretical foundation for the design and development of biomass pellet fuel ignition.
