Hydraulic valves are the base components in fluid power transmission and controltechnology, which control loop of liquid pressure, flow and flow direction. Cartridge Valvewith high pressure, small in size, large flow, small resistance, has become an inevitable trendin the development of hydraulic valve in some industries. We studies the cartridge balancingvalve, used in the oil return line when the piston down. This valve can prevent the pistondown cause by the gravity of the vertical hydraulic cylinder and the vertical load. Accordingto problems of the small flow rate, the leakage in the practical applications ,We design thehydraulic balanced loop by AMEsim and analyse the valve’s internal structure optimization byFluent, combined with the experimental data and theoretical knowledge.It is very reasonableto optimize performance through the orthogonal experiment method .The use of CFD and theorthogonal test methodcan reduce the testing times of late effectively and improve theefficiency of optimal design significantly. The main contents of this paper are included:(1) Analysis the function of the cartridge balancing valve by its structure, build the 3Dmodel by Pro/E.1) According to the hydraulic balancing circuit theory knowledge and the functions of thecartridge balancing valve in the practical use in the hydraulic system, we analysed andcompared kinds of hydraulic balance circuits, at last, completed the design of the balancecircuit of the cartridge balancing valve, which meet the needs of the hydraulic system in thework.2) We establish the initial static, dynamic equations through the force analysis of thespool. Combined with CFD theoretical knowledge and the 3D structural modeling in Pro/E,We confirm the balanced loop , calculate and search for the optimal spring stiffness .It providethe necessary theoretical basis for the design, selection and optimization of cartridge valve ,also to enhance the stability of the cartridge balancing valve .(2) Structure improvement and Performance optimization of Cartridge Balancing Valve.1) Through the preliminary analysis and calculation, we get the cartridge balancing valveinternal structure size range. It make us can further analysis static by Fluent software the onthe valve internal flow field, and further dynamic analysis using AEMSim software to getflow and pressure characteristic curve.2) Because there are a large number of parameters to influence the cartridge balancing valveperformance,we selected the orthogonal test to look for the most reasonable a group variables. It isincluded the main factors effect on the cartridge balancing valve performance significantly.The reasonable variables get together, which can ensure the flow characteristics, the pressurecharacteristics, flow characteristics and stability performance to achieve the best.
