Crane is a kind of equipment which is very important for modern construction. As the most widely used crane, auto crane is of good maneuverability and easy to be transferred.Auto crane mainly adopts hydraulic transmission. The subsystem of hydraulic system contains hoisting system, scalable system, luffing system, rotary system and kickst and system. Luffing system, as one of main subsystems in auto crane hydraulic system, plays an important role in the hydraulic system. It controls the amplitude of the lifting beam frame, and bears the weight of the hydraulic cylinder and cargo boom, as well as suspended load. The luffing system sometimes is not able to work exactly because it may be overspeed or unstable when the system goes down with the load. This article will be mainly about the analysis and the optimization of hydraulic system. It will be showed as follow:(1) Analyze the working principle and situation of the hydraulic system of auto crane, by analyzing a variety of hydraulic balance circuits and combining the characteristics of the balancing valve, design the luffing system balance circuit.(2) Based on simulation software AMESIM, build the model of the balancing valve and luffing system to analyze the influence of the main parameters of hydraulic cylinder load, spring stiffness and pretension force of balance valve, the control of damping hole and taper angle of the valve port, to the dynamic behavior of balance valve and luffing system. The result will be strong basis for optimizing the performance of balance valve and luffing system.(3) According to the structure chart of Crtridge Valve, build its model through 3D modeling software Pro/E and then conduct simulation of its internal flow field in Fl UENT software, So we can observe the cloud map of speed and pressure in different taper angle and valve port. Next with the orthogonal experiment, it will be concluded the most reasonable combination of different factors to optimize the performance of balance valve and luffing system.
