Spatial accessibility is an important research index of city’s spatial developmentpatterns, and it is also a quantitative index of transportation network spatial structure. Now, the development of industrialization and urbanization depends largely on the trafficnetwork. Space accessibility can not only reflect the structure of transportation system, but also improve the traffic network and provide a guiding role.Based on the transit network data of 131 bus lines in Changsha, this thesis analyzedthe 937 bus stations’spatial accessibility using the number of bus line, the shortest timedistance index and potential model. Then, I combined the three methods and got the cityspatial accessibility value of Changsha.According to the results of spatial accessibility, this thesis analyzed the Changsha’scity spatial accessibility patterns, and the pattern characteristic is‘core-periphery andcircle layer mode’,‘point-axis development pattern’,‘finger-like distribution’and‘higheast and low west’. There are two centers. The main center is the region focus inChangsha train station, and the subcenter is the region from Nanmenkou to Dongtang.Wangcheng Bus Station, Huanghua Airport, Hunan Embroidery City, Maogongtang andsome other bus stations in the edge of the city gets the worse results in city spatialaccessibility. The main factors of Changsha city spatial accessibility pattern include the naturalenvironment, social economy, government policy, city planning, traffic, real estate and soon. The city spatial accessibility influences the price of real estate, resident trip, retail, subway’s station location. On the contrary, the factory’s location, warehouse’s locationand government’s location affect by the city spatial accessibility slightly. We canaccelerate the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) planning, improve public transport hub planning, promoting the integration of urban and rural public traffic, increase bus lines of the city’sextended region to improved edge region accessibility and promote the whole city spatialaccessibility. The results of this study can be used as a reference of the Changsha city planning andcity transportation planning.
