The study combining the actual situation of XI’AN is to analyze thecharacteristics of traffic accessibility setting in aging and urbanization and then putforward the theoretical insights and solutions in considerations of hospital’s layoutand travel regulations in order to make contributions to the human-oriented urbantraffic system. The article deeply analyze the Spatial distribution characteristics of twenty-twofirst-level hospitals in XI’AN. Firstly, the article preliminarily analyzes the trafficaccessibility of twenty-two first-level hospitals in XI’AN with potential model usingstraight line distance as road impedance and draw the conclusion of the forty-fiveblocks’ existing traffic accessibility level in XI’AN. Then aiming at offering betterhospital-traveling service for the elder, the article introduces the concept of takingcare of the elder who is the disadvantaged groups in the urban traffic system andfurther discuss the traffic accessibility model by improving the mechanism andconstraints of the model. secondly, the article finds out that public transportation is themain traffic mode for the elder based on the results of questionnaire. Thirdly thearticle build up the improved traffic accessibility model based on the distribution andtravel characteristics of the elder and get know of the accessibility-lacking region bygenerating the traffic accessibility figure. At last, the article put out thecountermeasures for the accessibility-lacking region from two aspects of medicalfacilities and public lines and confirm the feasibility of the countermeasures bySpecific improvement measures of an actual hospital.
