With market competition increasing, equipment maintenance management hasbecome an important measure to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. Inpractice,the technological content of the electrical and mechanical equipment has beenincreasing. And the system is also increasingly complex. Its reliability problems arebecoming more and more acute. Thus its maintenance and support tasks are becomingmore and more onerous. There are a lot of maintenance decision-making problems.However, the current maintenance decisions are mainly based on the experienceand qualitative judgment, and the decision-making process is lack of quantitativeanalysis. Although, many maintenance decision models have been constantlydeveloped, these have not been widely used. The main reasons for: the modelingprocess is more tedious; the mathematic form of the models is more complex; the solveprocess also is often difficult. The modeling process of the Monte Carlo method is veryintuitive. The form of the model is also very simple. The statistical computation resultsof many simulations can be regarded as the needed result of the problem.Therefore, in this paper, simulation will be the main method. And theoptimization of the system’s maintenance strategy, maintenance features, and modelingwill be researched.The preventive maintenance systems of many equipments contains a large numberof regular inspections. As early frequent inspections certainly lead to excessivemaintenance cost. In this paper, the quasi-regular inspection scheme can beimplemented. Using the simulation program, the two decision variables (the firstinspection interval and re-inspection interval) will be determined. With comparison ofanalytical method, our method will be proved to be correctness. The practical examplewill be given. We will find that the precision of the method of this paper meet practicalneeds.It is difficult that the various performances of multi-unit system are described bythe analytical method. So Monte-Carlo method will be used to simulate theperformance of multi-unit system. Stochastic point process model is commonly used inthe modeling of repairable systems, but its characteristics are not always consistentwith the actual situation. After analyzing the characteristics of the two commonly usedmodels, this article introduces two new proposed model and model the simulation data.Finally the characteristics and applicability of these models are researched.
