Study On The Spatial Distribution Characteristic And Optimum Development Strategy Of Country Parks In Beijing

In2007, in order to consolidate and improve the existing green result in the greenbelt in Beijing and also let the citizens have the opportunities to make full use of the afforestation achievement, the government launched the project about the construction of Country Parks ring in the greenbelt.Country parks are the ecological buffer between the city centre and rural areas. They have the key role to establish the ecological network for the urban, provide the leisure space, and coordinate the space between urban and rural areas. This paper focus on the analysis of distribution of country park and its existing problems, and puts forward optimum construction and management strategy, which is very important in realistic meaning and theoretical value to the study of the county parks.The most important part of this paper is about Beijing Country Parks. The total42country parks locate in ChaoYang district, FengTai district, Haddian district, Changping district, Daxing district and Shijingshan district. According to the related analysis and comparison of the basic data, this paper conducted the current situation and management of the country parks in Beijing, then put forward some solutions.This paper first introduces the concept and function of the country parks. Then focuses on the subject about the development of country parks in UK and Hong Kong, then illustrates the various methods about the management of country parks, In UK, the Countryside Commission is set up to keep a duty on the financial funding to the local government for their establishment of the country parks. In HK, the government set up Decision support institutions and Administrative enforcement agencies in order to takes charge of the development of the country parks. Management Division and Ranger Services Division are also established for providing a better management in the country parks. Meanwhile, this paper pay attention to the development of the country parks in Beijing, then briefly introduced the concept of Beijing country parks and the social, economic and ecological benefits to the city itself and the residents. At last it also lists the policies about the establishment of the country parks in Beijing.Secondly, this paper pays close attention to the current spatial distribution of the country parks in Beijing. Then it discusses the characteristics of the overall layout of the exiting country parks, the density of the construction of the country parks and the per capita distribution.Thirdly, according to the analysis about the current spatial distribution of the country parks in Beijing, this paper concludes that the unbalanced spatial distribution of the country parks, the landscape and facilities with low quality and the insufficient funding are the main problems.Finally, this paper puts forward relevant solutions to unfold the core advantage of the county parks. The next step should pay more attention to optimizing the space layout of country parks, increasing financial investment on the construction, promoting the country parks operation of the market mechanism of the management and establishing standardization management.
