The servo system of sectional low-speed permanent magnet linear synchronous motor has wide application potential in the low speed linear motion occasions. Because it exists strong coupling nonlinearity and structural diversity, at present there is no systematic theory and effective methods to solve the modeling and performance control problem of this system. In this paper, we use the optimal comprehensive performance which is the maximum ratio of trust and motor system’s volume as objective function, use genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization method to research the best match between sectional low-speed permanent magnet linear synchronous motor’s rotor and its stator. Provide the theoretical basis to the further research and development of sectional low-speed permanent magnet linear synchronous motor servo system with independent intellectual property rights.At first, this article describes the necessity of researching the sectional low-speed permanent magnet linear synchronous motor briefly. Then the structure and special principle of low-speed permanent magnet linear synchronous motor are introduced, at the same time, the feasibility of linear motor’s sectional design and the air-gap magnetic field of low-speed linear motor are analyzed. According to the special structure of the low-speed permanent magnet linear motor and magnetic field analysis situation, the general requirements of motor’s electromagnetism design are introduced,and the motor’s electromagnetism design is done, get the design size of rotor and stator plate, give some calculation formula of the motor parameters and properties. Compared with several new optimization algorithm, genetic algorithm is selected to do the optimization design of single period of low-speed permanent magnet linear motor. Using MATLAB programming language, the optimization program is developed, the optimization design size of single period low-speed permanent magnet linear motor is obtained. Considering economic and reliability performance, when the single motor, trust, and speed meet the design requirements, design the motor in section, establish the sectional optimization model. Finally, based on particle swarm optimization method, realize the best match between rotor and stator, access the entire transport system’s sectional optimization design by the program.
