The rapid development of economy forces the hyper growth of automobiles industry, with both the number of automobile-owned and driver increasing multiply daily, we are faced with more and more traffic safety problems as long as the service and convenience brought by cars. Driver is the key point of road traffic system, and most majority of traffic accidents are related to driver’s mistakes according to abundant statistical data and research materials. Therefore, there is significant sense to study the driving behavior features, the reason of driving accidents and the driver’s reliability in order to control and reduce traffic anccidents.The paper firstly analyzes driving behavior features and influence factors in the road of drivers, then proposes three formation models of driving behavior; Secondly, from the own aspects of driver, by the research on driving error accident reasons and the reliability of driver, the paper sets up index system and models of driving error accident causation and driver’s reliability; Last, to analysis the driving error accident causation and driver’s reliability by taking examples. The studies have shown that driver himself is the key factor to influence driver’s behavior and traffic management rules is the second factor; Lack of safety sense and attitude, weak understanding of law are the chiefly factors of driving mistakes accidents, and poor of mental function and driving efficiency are the important factors; Driver’s reliability of driving process could be divided into three parts that adaptation period, stability period and loss period, and the third phase is peak period that driver’s traffic accidents’occurrence.
