A serial of area traffic compose the urban traffic, urban traffic takes huge risks on behalf traffic flow, it can relieve traffic jam and increase traffic operating efficiency by solving urban area traffic signal control problem. So this paper devotes to research chaos quantum evolutionary algorithm, which is a type of intelligent optimization algorithms, and applies to traffic signal control of area road network in order to increase control efficiency. Urban area traffic signal control, was named "surface control", based on the idea that dot and line can constitute surface, the main work in this paper is as follows:1. Take the least delay time as a parameter, building single crossings single object optimization model; and proposing a kind of chaos quantum evolutionary algorithm based on individual fitness, then applied this algorithm to solve the model. The simulation result shows that this algorithm is much more efficient than other algorithms to improve traffic congestion.2. Under the saturation constraint condition, to build the single crossings multi-object optimization signal control model in considering smallest delay, least park time and biggest traffic capacity as object, and proposed a kind of chaos quantum evolutionary algorithm based on object function gradient and applied it to solve the model. The simulation result has proved that the algorithm can adapt signal timing optimization control under different traffic status and improve the traffic condition effectively, thus, this algorithm is effective.3. Building artery control model based on least delay, and proposing chaos quantum evolutionary algorithm based on objective function gradient and fitness and applied this algorithm to solve this problem. The simulation result has proved that the algorithm can satisfy the dynamics and real time, optimization result has some effect to improve artery system vehicles, this algorithm is effective.4. Based on the research of single crossings and artery crossings signal control, we taking the minimum delay as the merit standard and building surface area crossings signal coordinated control model, then proposed chaos double chain quantum evolutionary algorithm based on objective function gradient and fitness and applied this algorithm to solve this problem. The result indicates that this algorithm is effective to improve the delay of area traffic system, this algorithm is effective.
