Turret testing platform is an important platform to test military installations, suchas turret. A series of turret test can be done in this platform, and lots of data can beobtained to provide reference for fire accuracy and performance optimization of turret,and enhance the actual fighting ability of military facilities. This thesis designs andmanufacture high accuracy turret testing platform, based on a project of a researchinstitute. The function of this testing platform is to measure a turret’s mass, centroidcalculation, level adjustment and adjustment for angle of inclination. Moreover, thetesting platform can be worked both by the manual control and automatic control.First of all, according to project requirement, this thesis designs three sets ofgeneral structure of turret testing platform. The author chooses the most appropriatescheme, after comparing the three sets of general structure from the aspects of methodof support, driving mode, safe reliability and accuracy requirement etc., introducesvarious components structure and working principle of this scheme, and evaluates thegeneral structure scheme in the aspects of safety and reliability. The support platformof turret testing platform is very larger and cost is very high, and the user needs highaccuracy of the support platform deformation. Therefore, finite element method isadopted to analyze the stiffness deformation of support platform during design of thestructure of testing platform. Then, the best dimension of the support platform isdetermined after the comprehensive analysis of the different structure size and thevarious working conditions, under the requirement of precision and saving cost, andthe structure of support platform is optimized, as well. At the same time, thedeformation of the support leg is analyzed by finite element method.The control system of testing platform is designed according to the controlrequirements, and it is composed by the card and industrial computer. Thenprogrammable logic controller is selected instead of power relay to realize logiccontrol, in order to realize the manual and automatic control mode. This paper alsodesigns hardware and software of the control system, automatic control procedures iswritten by using easy control software, the monitor interface of the control system isdesigned. The formula of turret centroid coordinates is deduced, the causes andproperties of centroid coordinates error are analyzed, and the formula of centroidcoordinates error is deduced.At last, under the existing loading conditions, pressure is put on the supportplatform and the support leg to measure the stiffness deformation, and the result of themeasurement satisfies the requirement of the accuracy.
