Along with the development of social economy, the amount of cargotransportation have swiftly increasing for years, in which the liquid cargo occupied avery important part, e.g. fuel oil, Propane, methanol and so on. In order to reduce thecost of transport operating, the liquid tank tractor-semitrailer to be used widely. Buttractor-semitrailer easily occur risks such as roll-over, shimmy and fold because of itsproperties of considerable inertia, long vehicle length, center of mass above normalposition and toward rear, so its stability and security have already became a veryimportant point of liquid tank tractor-semitrailer driving stability research. Alsobecause in crooked road, inclined road and brake situation the mass-center position ofliquid will slosh, so the vehicles instability will increase along with it. In the researchof liquid tank tractor-semitrailer dynamics characteristic, we makes every effort toseek a method that possess important theory value and engineering significance toincrease the stability.In this article we built dynamics model of liquid tank tractor-semitrailer,simulated and analyzed its dynamics property: First, built six sub-system models oftractor-semitrailer that include vehicle body, braking system, the tire system, thesuspension system, the power-transporting system and the steering system; secondly,the theoretical analysis, the expression of liquid-filled tractor-semitrailer mass-centerin the crooked road, inclined road and brake situation through analyze the stress ofliquid tank, build the model. Combined with real vehicle parameter using MATLABto simulated the stability experiment under different liquid filled situation. Lastly,using TruckSim——a software for simulate dynamitic of vehicle to simulate sixexperiments under different situation. Through comparing the dynamics property ofvehicle the reason of different is found out.Sub-systems modeling processes and dynamic equations are described based onsome unique characteristics of liquid-filled tractor-semitrailer, combined withmass-center sloshing poverty simulation and analysis are performed, as well as laysthe foundation for improving security, vehicle handling and stability.
