Study On Research Methods Of Eco-city

Eco-city has been proved to be the right direction to lead the sustainable development of the city, and has become strategic goals of modern city. At present, a lot of domestic and foreign cities are planning and constructing according to the idea of Eco-city, but the research methods system has not been existed to guide the Eco-city construction. Eco-city planning practice urgently requires the study on research methods system of Eco-city, which is to provide the basis and foundation and improve the scientific nature, perceptiveness and operability for Eco-city planning.This paper adopts the following methods to study Eco-city research methods: literature analysis, statistics analysis, field investigation, the GIS spatial analysis methods, expert consultation, qualitative and quantitative method and so on.The core content of the paper is that the domestic and foreign research progress and the development trend of Eco-city research methods is firstly analyzed, and based on this, the analysis and evaluation methods, space layout optimization methods and development scale forecast methods are analyzed to constitute Eco-city research methods, and then the foregoing methods are used to analyze Eco-city construction of Anning District of Lanzhou City and Yinchuan City, and at last, the measures and suggestions of Eco-city are put forward.This paper is divided into four parts:research foundation, analysis of Eco-city research methods, empirical research and conclusion. There are two chapters in the first part. Chapter1concludes the content of research background, research contents and objectives, research methods and technical route. Chapter2analyses the domestic and foreign research progress and the theoretical basis of Eco-city research methods. The second part concludes analyses of research methods, of which the chapter3is evaluation analysis methods of Eco-city, and chapter4analyses the research methods of space optimization and development prediction. The third part is empirical research, which includes two chapters. In this part, Yinchuan and Anning District of Lanzhou are chosen as two examples in order to study the construction of ecological city. The fourth part is the conclusion, including the main conclusions, deficiency and prospect of the study.
