China has a territory, but the distribution of water resource is very uneven. In order to regulate water resource and bring benefit to mankind, our nation is planning a South-to-North water diversion project in which many aqueducts are needed. The seismic intensity of areas in which the aqueducts are constructed is more than7degree. Some of the areas are in high seismic zone. Therefore, the seismic design of aqueducts has essential effect on safety and economic operation of South-to-North water diversion project. This article is against the background of south-to-north water diversion Yuncheng pulling-huang Xishe Village project, using deck steel pipe and concrete filled steel tube composite arch structure as a support structure. According to unit simulation of the structural elements, using the finite element software MIDAS to establish the structural overall model, to analyze the structural overall performance through the calculation of the spatial mechanical model:1) To analyze the structural deformation, displacement and force of three different operating conditions, to access static performance of the aqueduct structure.2) Dynamic analysis of the aqueduct structure:modal analysis, to list the top20order natural vibration characteristics and corresponding vibration mode characteristics of the finite element model;3) Response spectrum analysis, to analyze vibration modal decomposition response spectrum method from three different operating conditions, time history analysis, inputting the Taft wave, time history analysis of earthquake dynamics to the aqueduct structure.4) To stably calculate the aqueduct, based on static and dynamic analysis results. The ultimate load condition, maximum displacement, maximum bending moment, maximum axial stress and weak links were obtained by analysis above and provide reference for later similar projects.
