At the junction of Ninglang city in Lijiang of Yunnan and Yanyuan city of Sichuan away from Ninglang city75kilometers, is the Lugu Lake Scenic Area in Yongning dam which over two thousand meters above sea level. There has Ancient and mysterious Mosuo culture and social organization, pristine natural and culture landscape which bring prosperity to Local social, economic and cultural. Therefore,In the development process, revealed a lot of problems. The production and lifestyle of the people has changed. New materials, new forms, new ideas had led to the impact on the the Mosuo characteristics of culture and architecture. How to Research and conservation the natural environment, the Mosuo Folk House and Mosuo Cultural is imminent.On the basis of field research, collect data and discussing with professors and experts,in this paper the author uses the binary type research methods which from the macroscopic to the microscopic in the overall.And uses specific research methods which are literature review, field research, a comprehensive analysis, comparative studies and empirical research to system combing the traditional dwellings of the southwest-the Mosuo residential characteristics space. The whole study is a top-down system which studying from the historic to the courtyard and then to a single building even in the details in different angles, step-by-step. This paper analyzes and describes the spatial characteristics and the issue between the current situation and the development, and proposes strategies and recommendations of the protection and development. In particular the protection and development of villages and courtyards, respectively, supplemented by practical case studies. And sorted out the ideal Moso courtyard model of the courtyard space.Hoping this study can provide some practical guidance and basis theoretical for the Mosuo residential development.The thesis includes five parts:The first chapter, Introduction. This chapter describes the background and practical significance of the research of Mosuo residential in Lugu Lake Scenic Area in Yongning dam. And also instructs the status of the study, the research methods, and some basic concept related to the research.The second chapter, the Mosuo residential village. This chapter frist describes the whole process of field research on the Mosuo residential. Ant then, on this basis, sums up two characteristics of the Mosuo villages space and the spatial form of the village. Further analysis of some issues between the current situation and development of the villages, raises some principles and strategies which advocates to protect the villages classification in the overall and partition protection for the individual. And last, gives an example which is Nise village to explore the research.The third chapter, the Mosuo Folk House. This chapter through the researching on the the Mosuo residential courtyard space in the Yongning dam and studying of the typical courtyard, summarizes the features of the courtyard space which grandmother house is the core. Puts forward the ideal model of the courtyard and the strategy of protection and alteration. Finally, put forward a Folk House as an example in Zhashi Village to explore the practice of the Mosuo residential courtyard space.The fourth chapter, the Mosuo residential construction monomer. This chapter analysis the single building space features and architectural details from the micro-level. Proposes protection and reconstruction strategies though drawning the plane, analyzing the characteristics especially the analyzing the meaning of the special space and scale to ensure the integrity of the research content and achieving the purpose of protection and heritage the Mosuo building culture and characteristics.The fifth chapter,The general principles and strategies of the Mosuo residential protection and development.This chapter, general describes the principles and strategies of the Mosuo residential protection and development in villages space, the courtyard space and the single building.The last part of the paper is the concluding section.
