The railway station as a large public transportation construction, the building space span, the higher layer, maintenance structure in large quantity of heat, are major energy consumers in the air conditioning architecture; And big indoor personnel fluidity, big density contrast, passengers have short duration, so the cannot use the air conditioning design parameters of the steady state environment. And the air conditioning design parameters the railway station using now, not only cause the energy waste, the excessive temperature between inside and outside also make passengers uncomfortable; Some air conditioning system in the old railway station, and that passengers feel hot, in summer peak, air conditioning load can’t satisfy the indoor personnel of heat, we should look for other ways to improve thermal comfort.According to the central university basic scientific research business expenses special fund project "large-scale traffic building energy conservation research" as the research content, made Chengdu train station as the object, tested the indoor and outdoor environment of railway station in summer, made questionnaire survey to the passengers in the waiting room, research the method to improve of thermal comfort of the waiting room in railway station.1. Tested the thermal environment inside and outside the railway station during the day, including outdoor temperature and humidity, indoor dry-bulb temperature, wet bulb temperature, wind speed, the radiation temperature, relative humidity, and PPD PMV value; Pertinently designed the questionnaire, mainly including the temperature, humidity, wind speed and the overall feeling evaluation of the passengers, etc.2. The paper analyzed and compared the test results and questionnaire results, then summarized the thermal environment situation of waiting room in railway station and the degree of satisfaction with the thermal environment situation. It also calculated neutral temperature with the results of PMV and TSV. It came to a conclusion that because the heat comfort thermal comfort principle and the short staying, it’s better to use TSV to estimate the heat comfort of the waiting room.3. This paper divided the outside temperature into several interval, according to the corresponding indoor temperature of each interval and passengers heat feel, calculated the expected temperature when thermal sensation was0, got the regression curve between the outdoor temperature and the expected temperature indoor:Tn= 0.5627tO+10.3746. If this model is verified as air conditioning indoor design temperature, can save more than10%of the energy consumption.4. According to the opinions of the passengers about the wind in the investigation, and the wind speed values too low in waiting room, analyzed that, increase the wind speed in the waiting room in summer can greatly improve the indoor thermal comfort. Combining with the PMV formula, use of Matlab software, calculated the comfortable wind speed changing with temperature curve, in summer peak personnel overload, cooling and dehumidifying was unable to achieve the comfort range, the wind speed can be increased, the thermal comfort satisfaction of passengers can be improved.
