After the founding of P.R.C., the transportation infrastructures including bridge construction projects get a vigorous development. Reinforced concrete arch bridge is one of the most important types in all bridges of our country. And with the further development of transportation construction, the number of it would increase. However, along with the development of transportation, the traffic flow and vehicle load are increasing. For the service time and former’s low design standards, the existing reinforced concrete arch bridges are always overloading. Thus, most of them emerge some different disease, which worsen in recent years. The diseases of bridges impact the carrying capacity and durability even the safety of bridges directly. So the repairing and reinforcement of the disease bridges are urgent and important.Taking Minjiang Bridge as an example, the thesis analyzed the reason of reinforced concrete arch bridge’s disease and discussed the way to repair. The main work of the thesis is as following:1. Summarizing the feature of reinforced concrete arch bridge, the disease of it, and the development of reinforcement technology.2. Introducing the finite element method and the way to set up a bridge’s finite element model.3. Detecting the bridge according to an appropriate way, evaluating the sate of the bridge, proposing the corresponding reinforcement methods; evaluating the effect of the bridge after reinforcement by the test and finite element method.4. Summarizing the choosing principle to reinforce the reinforced concrete arch bridge.
