With the rapid development of urban rail transit in China, it is very important to improve the techniques and safety of the train control system. Communications-Based Train Control,"CBTC" for short, is a moving-block signaling system that has been widely introduced and implemented in China for the recent years. For the improving of the system performance analysis method and the optimization strategy in the system design and verification stage, a CBTC train operation simulation system is studied in this thesis, which also provides an open platform for the study of train operation organization and energy consumption optimization.The system is designed to provide a friendly user interface, use a guideway database based on digraph, take IEEE standard1474.1recommended safety braking model. The system implements train traction calculation, train simulation, and performance analysis on simulation results.The data management subsystem has the data editing and data parsing functions for the system basic database, digraph guideway database, and simulation database. Data editing function simplifies the user input information and keep it in basic database, and meanwhile data parsing function performs the digraph guideway database automatic generation to provide static database for train traction calculation and train simulation subsystem. With the complete of train traction calculation and train simulation, the simulation database will be produced that includes static database and dynamic database. Simulation database can be graphically displayed by man-machine interface subsystem and processed by performance analysis subsystem to generate performance reportFirstly, the original data information was analyzed in this thesis. A friendly user interface for data editing was designed according to the system requirements. Secondly, a digraph topology representation was researched and automatic digraph guideway database generation was proposed. Finally, static database generation, simulation database storage and interfaces for other subsystems were completed.The practical application shows that the functions of data editing and data parsing in data management subsystem consistent with customary. The functions follow the code for metro and meet the functional and performance requirements of CBTC train operation simulation system.
