In recent years, with the rapid pace of economic development the city construction of Kunming is also developing with a galloping pac.However, Kunming is aimed at becoming a outstanding tourism city, as a result, the sight of this city is most important.The widely used city elevated structure will be gradually reduced. It will adopts more use of subway, tunnel and other underground engineering structure as the focus of City Constructio. In fact,the ground surface is covered by peat soil and organic soil which have a bad physical&mechanic function.This condition brings us a lot of troubles in designing and construction work.Currently, there lacks such research of peat soil and organic soil in engineering. This thesis combines the Kunming city water tunnel project, focusing on the Dianchi peat soil and organic soil churning pile and stirring pile by SMW method. The main work of this dissertation is to make a research on the red clay, silty soil, peat soil and organic matter in soil and their mixed soil cement near Caohai tunnel by indoor experiment.This Experimental study takes red clay, silty soil, peat soil, organic soil and peat soil and organic matter in soil and the red clay according to the proportion of100:20,100:40and100:60three group of proportion with of ten soil samples. Through compaction test, liquid limit and plastic limit test, three axis test basic soil test we could measure those ten kinds of soil’s best water content, maximum dry density, liquid limit and plastic limit of basic parameters.Based on this, in this ten kinds of soil mixed with different content of cement, test the unconfined compressive strength and modulus of deformation, study their unconfined compressive strength with the variation of the content of cement, we found that in peat soil and soil mixed with cement there is a boundary of cement content. At this boundary content,unconfined compressive strength of soil reaches its peak value, other kinds of soil’s strengh increase with the increase content of cement.Focusing on the peat soil and organic matter in soil and red clay soil mixed with cement soil, through unconfined compressive strength test, studying their unconfined compressive strength and modulus of deformation with water content, compactness, curing age variation,we found that unconfined compressive strength increase with the density increasing,in addition, peat and soil mixed with cement soil have limit moisture content, limits of curing period.at which, organic soil and mixed soil unconfined compressive strength reaches its peak value.with water content increasing, organic soil and mixed soil unconfined compressive strength decrease.At the same time,we found when mixed with red clay in the peat soil and organic matter, the unconfined compressive strength and modulus, and density will get improved.We also take permeability teston ten kinds of soil cement soil, detect the ten soil cement soil permeability coefficient, and analyze the cement content, compactness and other factors on the permeability coefficient of the effect of cement content, finally we found permeability coefficient decreases with the density increasing.Through this work, we could know the Dianchi peat soil and organic matter in soil and its physical and mechanical properties.Then we could offer some data in soil engineering design and construction related to Dianchi peat soil and organic matter.
