With the environmental protection and energy problem getting more and more serious, the electric vehicle has gained wide attention due to its zero emissions, low noises. All countries in the world have taken new energy vehicles as the auto industry development direction.The main content of this article is to study each part of electric drive system of the pure electric bus and parameters matching problem, to analysis induction motor vector control algorithm and high power two-way DC-DC converter way of working by simulation, and to study the pure electric bus regenerative braking control mode, and to analysis the pure electric bus’s climbing ability, acceleration capacity, running range mileage, feedback efficiency and so on by simulation in the advisor platform.The paper begins with a brief overview of the pure electric bus characteristics and advantages, and then design a pure electric bus electric drive system structure. According to the vehicle during the running of the need to meet the performance demand, directed energy systems, power transmission system and the control system features, comparative analysis of the merits in traction motor types, various types of power battery characteristics, is determined by computing the motor, battery and super capacitor type and capacity, the electric drive system to be able to match. This paper studies the pure electric bus traction control system and control strategy for induction motor for traction motor, the pure electric bus uses a rotor field oriented vector control technology. Simulation analysis on the vector control strategy of pure electric bus starting, accelerating, climbing and idle running condition of traction characteristics. The paper also analysis of the large power bidirectional DC-DC power converter. According to the principle of regenerative braking, the pure electric bus regenerative braking model, study its control strategy. Simulation analysis of pure electric bus during the deceleration and long downhill regenerative braking characteristics. Finally, in the professional car simulation platform advisor, the simulation and the backward simulation combination method, constructing the whole vehicle model, road cycle module. And the simulation of a bus line driving conditions, the test of pure electric bus in the line acceleration, climbing ability, mileage and capacity utilization rate.
