CRH1type electrical multiply unit (EMU) appears in china in2007, it has achieved a top speed of250kilometers per hour in the already existed railway line, which has become a mark of achieving world-class levels. Its appearance has made great influence on our social economy development. So, analyzing the performance of CRH1type EMU, strengthening our understanding of CRH1type EMU, will be good in keeping the stability and safety in the operation, saving energy, and promoting national economy.Therefore, this paper takes CRH1type EMU traction drive system as the research object, it mainly analyzes the traction drive circuit, introduces the performance of main components and the setting of parameter, discusses the working principle and control strategy of inverter, and builds the traction and braking simulation model. During the establishment of MALTAB simulation, this paper makes in-depth analysis about the working principles and control mode including high-speed EMU’s single phase two level as the grid-side converter module LCM, its working principle and transient current control of two level inverter, by a motor side converter module MCM working principle and motor indirect rotor field oriented vector control. This thesis is based on MATLAB simulation, focuses on analysis of the traction drive motor torque, current and speed change and voltage current phase relationship.。Through analyzing MATLAB simulation, the author wants to find the working principle of CRH1type EMU and discuss the control, this paper gives a further explanation of CRH1type EMU. Conclusion of this research can provide some reference for safely and stability operation of high speed train, energy saving, and actual application, this paper can also lay a more solid foundation in actual application.
