| Progress control of construction engineering, one of the three main control objectives, is an important part of project management. The purpose of effective monitoring on a project progress, one of the major tasks of project management, is to ensure that targets can be reached smoothly. Using progress control theory and knowledge, coupled with case studies, this thesis carries out research and analysis on the progress issues found in the construction process. While proposing solutions to those issues, this thesis makes projections, optimizations and adjustments for the completion time of the project. The main research work and results of the thesis are as follows:Firstly, based on enough collection of related information, the thesis has introduced the domestic development of research on progress control. In addition the theoretical knowledge about the progress control is presented, which consists of its concepts, principle, methods, aims and influential elements. Secondly, the thesis has given an introduction of the specific project’s overview and its schedule. By analyzing the progress and its implement, this thesis is to identify the problems of the progress plan. Thirdly, according to the problems existing in the scheduling process, quantitative analysis of the plans is carried out by using Program Evaluate and Review Technique. By modify the completion time, some measures to increase the possibilities that the project can be completed within the plan are also proposed. In order to finish the project in advance, some measures have been taken out to optimize the scheduling. The comparison between the plan progress and the actual one is presented by making use of the S curve methods, which can help people understand the control situation of different phases. Finally, through the above analysis, the thesis analyzes the main factors that impact the construction control, solution to these influential facts is given so as to ensure the smooth realization of the project. The result of this thesis can provide certain reference to the various parties involved in the construction phase. |
