The aerial working platform is a kind of self-propelled aerial vehicles, which belongs to the field of construction machinery. With the rapid development of domestic economy, the technology of aerial vehicles is also enhancing. A typical aerial vehicles hydraulic system is an open-loop control system which includes a double-gear pump, and a gradient control valve supplying oil for turntable and platform working devices. Due to the complexity of the pipe between the gear pump and the platform, the pipe’s length and the resistance along the pipe, the hydraulic system has large amount of power loss. If hydraulic system generates too much heat, the rising of temperature can both affect the whole working efficiency and increases the cost. In response to the summon of energy conservation, and in order to reduce the power loss of aerial vehicles and optimize its overall performance, it is necessary to improve original aerial vehicles hydraulic system.This thesis calculates the heat generated by aerial vehicles’working devices and identifies heating reason by analyzing the result. It offers an available improvement. From the aspect of improving the working hydraulic system, a method is given by using load sensing pump to replace the original gear pump. By this way it both removes several hydraulic valves from the system and reasonably attributes the pump’s outlet flow, avoiding the pump’s energy loss in standby mode. When the system is under high pressure, pump’s outlet flow rate decreases.Furthermore, this thesis sets up the simulation mode of the original system and the improved one via AMESim. By comparing the pressure and flow rate programs of these two systems, an analysis of power loss can be done. It can be concluded according to the analysis that the improved system has an obvious advantage in energy saving, which has qualified the method.
