The block is one important part of the diesel,it is the skeleton of the engine,it bears complex loads,when the diesel is running.The stiffness and strength of the diesel determines the life of the diesel engine.With the modern development of the technology of Internal Combustion Engine,the requirement on the faster and lighter diesel are enhanced.At the same time,as the development of computer technology,the finite element analysis has been widely used in the design process of the internal combustion engine,to guide the structural design of the new models,the method can also make numerical analysis for the new block of the diesel,so it can help us to shorten the design cycle and enhance the economic benefits.The paper presents the transient dynamic analysis of a diesel engine block with the V-type,the major work includes:(1)Design the geometric model of the block by the software Pro/E.(2)Calculate the side pressure of the piston,bearing force and other dynamic loads under the condition of the power at4660Kw,the speed at1000rpm.(3)Use the finite element pre-processing software Hypermesh to establish the finite element analysis model and define the boundary conditions.(4)Load the dynamic loads on the finite element model of the block,conduct the transient dynamic analysis of the block,and calculate the reaction force and stress.(5)Determine the maximum of every reaction force and stress,provide the foundation for the design of the bogie. Through the research we explore to use the finite element analysis software to calculate the reaction force and stress of the diesel,it has a high theoretical significance and practical value for the design and exploitation of the diesel.
