Study Of Comprehensive Gymnasium Architectural Acoustics Design And Artistic Expression

Based on the consideration of promoting the urban development, the internal function of the gymnasium is being enriched continuously and design of multiple functions becomes further extension and trial of development of sports buildings. Building a comprehensive gymnasium of high quality, equipped with delightful visual space and comfortable acoustics environment is the precondition for fair social and economic benefits. However, for the time being, the contradiction between the architects’focus on art and aesthetic expression and the acoustics engineers’emphasis on the functional rationality of acoustics is one of the major problems to be solved in the field of gymnasium building design.The object of the thesis is to study the architectural acoustics design and artistic expression of comprehensive gymnasiums. In the light of the existing problems on the internal space design of gymnasiums, viewing and point cutting from combination of artistic and technicality, the thesis probes into the connection between acoustics environment and visual environment, concludes and analyzes that how the technical treatment of architectural acoustics is combined with architectural design to commonly complete the molding of the space and realize the perfect unification of technology and art. The basic contents of the thesis put emphasis on the research of visual aesthetics resulting from visual attributes and assembling patterns of acoustic materials and structure and introduce the relationship between acoustics design and concept expression of architectural designs, which hopefully explain the design approach of artistic expression of acoustic design from the expression approach of acoustics materials and structure including such factors as the psychological perception of audiences.The thesis conducts the study on the architectural acoustics design and artistic expression in three aspects:first, the acoustics design requirements and specifications for the comprehensive gymnasiums; second, the connection between architectural acoustics design and architectural design; third, the acoustic design of gymnasiums combined with visual artistic expression. These three aspects primarily cover the major problems of the artistic expression for gymnasium architectural acoustics design. The internal design theory and contents related with the study both are chosen from the point of view of combination of acoustics design and internal design and the study tries to blend the theory and design approaches into the research of the architectural acoustics design so as to form a helpful component of architectural acoustics design. Finally, the thesis through project cases illustrates the application of theory and techniques of artistic expression for architectural acoustic design in actual projects.The final goal of the thesis is to summarize the design theory and techniques of acoustics materials and structure artistic on the basis of meeting the requirements of acoustics functions. Hopefully the thesis can arouse the insiders’ interest and attention on the artistic expression of architectural acoustic design and result in deeper and more comprehensive investigation and research to make the competition space of comprehensive gymnasiums more diversified and humanized.
