In the UAVs formation communication the nodes are in continual rapid motion. Because of the accident or the limits of communication conditions, the formated-nodes may be lost contact with the control center. Under these conditions, a wireless communication networks is established to maintain communication between nodes. The new network must be controllable. The limit time of communication between nodes is very strictly, so the communication strategy must be as simple as possible under maintaining communication. The whole design aims at the UAV communication network requirements, two modes of fixed allocation access mode and dynamic allocation access mode are combined to better satisfy formation in high-speed condition of reliable communication and to guarantee the formation. A new TDMA time slot model—CD-ALOHA model is designed. And the system uses GPS to provide time synchronization. Model makes use of self-organized characteristic, completes dynamic management of the work mode and time slot. The system uses C8051F350 as MCU, and combines with wireless communication modules and global positioning system. The whole system mainly completes wireless communication and position. S-Aloha media access control protocol is improves and combines with the hardware. The system completes to avoid channel competition, and sends the data information of each node timely and reliably in its exclusive time slot. In the same time system avoids the decline of data transfer rate and data collision rate due to the delay. The whole design is more suitabled for UAV formation communication network. Finally CD-ALOHA model is checked on the hardware, system realizes the UAV formation communication and position through various commissioning results.
