Coal is China’s important primary energy,which is the "food" of the electric powerindustry and the cornerstone of our country economy. However, our country coal is poorquality. The actual coal burning of many coal-fired power plant drift too far from the designcoal and the security of the power plant boiler is subject to a certain degree ofthreat.According to the characteristics of China’s coal,power plant boilers have use certainpercentage of blended coals provided by a number of coal mines,because China’s coalresources are not homogeneous. Many power plants have to be fueled with a mixture of coalby two or more kinds of coals.Because of a certain mixing ratio,the actual coal-fired qualitycan not be guaranteed. Under the premise,The coals that make up one mixed coal can affecteach other and restrict each other.In this paper, according to the Hunan Shaoyang local coal and the situation around powerplants ,Fengjiangxi coal ,Lengshuijiang Fumin B coal, Yimamianchi coal, Shanxi Wanliu coaland Longping coal is selected as the object of study,which have large difference of coalquality characteristics.In order to study the coal characteristics,combustion performance andslagging characteristics around five kinds of single coal and mixed coals which have differentmixing ratio.First,studying on the coal characteristics from conventional coalexperiments,including:industrial analysis of experiments,elemental analysis,heating valueexperiments to analyze the basic characteristics of coal.Second,study the combustioncharacteristics of five kinds of single coal and mixed coals which have different mixing ratiofrom the coal particle size analysis and thermal analysis experiment.Third, the experiments oncoal ash fusion characteristics of the coal samples analysis coal ash fusion and influencingfactors of five kinds of single coal and blended coals which have different mixing ratio.Finally,analysing and calculating five kinds of single coal and mixed coals which have differentmixing ratio by using the fuzzy mathematics method and membership function,the optimalblended coal blending ratio is obtained.Through the above analysis and summary, the suggestions on the research of the mixedcoal ratio and the characteristic of combustion are put forward.It provides a theoreticalbasis and technical support of the blended coal combustion for power plant.And the furtherwork about the optimized ration and the combustion characteristics of blended coals arerecommended.
