Reactive Powder Concrete, RPC, is a new kind of high performance concrete material with high intensity, high durability and high ductility. The distinctions between RPC and ordinary concrete on material formation determine that the destruction process of eccentric compression of RPC columns and ordinary columns is different, which indicates that the studying on eccentric compression capability of RPC is of great importance. Based on the fundamental mechanical behavior of RPC, this thesis conducts experiment on eccentric compression capability of RPC columns, aiming at providing reference for the application of RPC in bridge project.This thesis conducts experiment on eighteen RPC columns under eccentric compression, taking the effects of6different eccentricities as the main consideration. In the experiment, I observe the cracks and failure modes of the columns, measure the cylindrical horizontal deflection and strain of concrete circumstances and record its cracking load and ultimate compressive bearing capacity. According to the data obtained, the mechanical properties, crack distribution and failure modes of the columns under different eccentricities have been analyzed. The failure mode of the columns is mainly consists of large eccentric compression and small eccentric compression.Compared to the result analyzed by Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis Software, the experimental result is consistent with the calculation mostly.Compared with the formulas and norms of different countries, the experimental results indicate the existing formulas and norms are safer for RPC columns in calculating. Referencing for all the factors considered in those formulas and carrying out regressing analyses on the experimental data, I find the suggestion formula suitable for the eccentric compression capability of RPC columns. Applied to the experimental results, it correlates well with the results. It can be used as a reference for the eccentric compression capability of RPC columns.
