Reactive powder concrete(RPC)is a new kind of cement-based composites that of super high performance,which created by researchers in 1990s.Compared to normal concrete with shortcomings like low strength,small strain and brittle,RPC is a kind of material that of high strength,high toughness and excellent durability,making PRC become a research hotspot in material field around the world.As a building material,RPC owns a lot of advantages comparing with normal concrete,having broad application prospects in civil engineering.Along with the research on RPC deeper and deeper,RPC has been more and more applied to engineering fields such as bridges,buildings,tunnels as well as repair and reinforcement.As a result,the study on mechanical properties of RPC is of emergency.Steel reinforced concrete structure is the configuration of steel in concrete or with steel-based composite structure.Comparing with reinforced concrete,SRC structures have advantages like high capacity,excellent durability and outstanding anti-seismic performance and so on.SRC columns have been broadly used in high-rise structures and structures that require large space at bottom.As the columns in structure bear larger and larger axial force,besides the columns decide whether the structure collapses or not when suffering large earthquakes.As a result,the concrete used in SRC columns should have better strength and ductility.Based on the researches on RPC and SRC structures captured by domestic and foreign scholars,a new kind of column has been proposed called steel reinforced RPC column,this kind of specimen has combine both the advantages of SRC structures and RPC material,which meets the requirement of modern architectural structure development.The mechanical properties research of steel reinforced RPC columns is still lack around the world.As a part of the development and application of RPC,this paper has provided the experimental basis of steel reinforced RPC columns under eccentric loading.The research plots of this paper are as follows:(1)Research the mechanical properties and failure modes of steel reinforced RPC columns through destructive test of three steel reinforced RPC columns.Test result shows that steel reinforced RPC Eccentric compression columns have good deformation ability,Under eccentric loading at a eccentricity of 60mm,the failure modes of specimens presented to be large eccentric failure.The ultimate bearing capacity of composite columns is related primarily to the strength of RPC,and the ultimate bearing capacity of composite columns increases along with the increase of strength of RPC.the calculation formula of ultimate bearing capacity of steel reinforced RPC column is built,according to the phenomenon and result of the test.(2)Using ANSYS FEA software simulating the test process of steel reinforced RPC column.specimens,by providing universal post processor software,gives a specimen map,the ultimate loads of concrete cracks and fabric stress distribution of imagery.Finite element analysis and experimental test results comparative analysis,which matches better.ANSYS FEA software can provided theory reference when steel reinforced RPC column been used in practical engineering.
