Urban water supply network, directly related to the social stability and economic development, is the material basis of urban survival and development. Protecting the security and efficient operation of water supply network and reducing its leakage consumption have always been highly recognized by government and water supply enterprises. In this paper, in view of the general operation management and leakage problems of urban water supply network as well as the specific circumstances of Fangcun water supply network, optimization strategies of the information management system for Guangzhou water supply network and countermeasures of leakage for Fangcun water supply network were carried out on the basis of actuality analysis on Fangcun water supply network.First of all, on the basis of the preliminary data research and analysis, the current shortcomings of the information management system for Guangzhou water supply network were summarized through studying the system’s structure, function, application status as well as the layout of hydraulic and water quality monitoring points, etc. Meanwhile, in order to improve the level of pipeline management, a variety of technical means were applied to ameliorate the system. The results were as follows:It had proposed the construction methods of leakage prediction and positioning model for water supply network which built quadratic curve exponential smoothing model and gray GM(1,1) prediction model based on leakage frequency of Guangzhou water supply network. At the same time, it demonstrated that the gray GM(1,1) prediction model was more suitable for predicting leakage frequency of Guangzhou water supply network through evaluating the two models. In addition, it also had raised optimization methods of pressure, flow and water quality monitoring points which optimize the pressure monitoring points of Fangcun water supply network based on regression analysis. The optimization scheme was abolishing the three pressure monitoring points of Fangcun spot, Dongjiao and Dongsha and readjusting the location of the three pressure monitoring points. If so, respectively,99%of pressure information provided by9original pressure monitoring points could be kept through6reserved pressure monitoring points and more pressure distribution information of pipe network could be acquired on the basis of not increasing monitoring device. Furthermore, it had posed the integrated program between GIS and SCADA system with integrating functions of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition system (referred to as SCADA) in Geographic Information System (referred to as GIS).Secondly, statistical analysis techniques were adopted to classify and analysis characteristics information and leakage data of Fangcun water supply network from all aspects, which could underlie control countermeasures of leakage for Fangcun water supply network. According to the statistic analysis, leakage characteristics of Fangcun water supply network were pipe leakage incidents with upper trend year by year, pipe leakage incidents mainly occurring in January and in December, small diameter pipes with higher leakage frequency than large diameter pipes, negative correlation between pipe diameter and pipe leakage and pipe leakage mainly occurring in cast iron pipes and steel pipes. And the sorting among different pipe materials were cast iron pipes, steel pipes, concrete pipes and ductile pipes, with gradually reduced leakage frequency.Finally, in view of leakage problems of Fangcun water supply network, control countermeasures of leakage were proposed based on the management. Furthermore, combination with the specific circumstances of Fangcun water supply network, it studied countermeasures of leakage from two aspects of leakage detection method and pipe repairment strategy.In the aspects of leakage detection method, combination with the actual circumstances of Fangcun water supply network, leakage detection methods being suitable for Fangcun water supply network were posed and these methods were applied to actual testing of Fangcun pipe. The results showed that methods of voice-listening leakage detection and automatic monitoring of the leakage sound based on permalog were suitable for leakage detection in Fangcun except for methods of regional leakage detection, regional fitted meter, tracer gas detection, infrared photography, geological radar detection and correlation analysis. Methods of automatic monitoring of the leakage sound based on permalog could determine the leakage range and voice-listening leakage detection method could locate leakage points precisely. By combining with the two leakage detection methods, it could achieve leakage detection of Fangcun water supply network successfully. In the aspects of pipe repairment strategy, under the actual circumstances of Fangcun water supply network, pipe repairment strategies of Fangcun water supply pipe were studied in combination with the present commonly-used repairment technology of water supply pipe. The results showed that the priority technologies chosen to repair Fangcun water supply pipe were flip inner lining method, tube spraying method and close-fit lining method.
