With the development of our society, automobile is playing an important role inour lives. Although it brings a lot of convenience to us, automotive industry consumesour energy and its exhaust pollutes our living environment. Environmental crisis andenergy crisis coexist. In this context, the development of hybrid vehicle has greatsignificance. Hybrid vehicle which takes into account the advantages of traditionalvehicles and pure electric vehicles has low pollution, low fuel consumptioncharacteristics and broad market prospect. As an important part of the hybrid vehicledevelopment, energy management strategy has been the focus of the study. This paperwhich regards the fuel economy as the target studies the impact on the fuel economythrough controls the change of the strategy parameters.This paper is in the background of a cooperative project between laboratory andan enterprise at the same time based on a traditional sanitation truck.Fist of all, it usesCRUISE to do the vehicle performance imitation study on a prototype sanitation truck.It analyzes the prototype sanitation truck’s performance through the dynamics(including the largest climbing degree, constant speed driving and accelerate at fullload), the economy and the braking and compares with the actual vehicle performance,then verifies the validity of the simulation software.Secondly, from the considering of the vehicle performance, it designs the hybridsanitation truck powertrain parameters. The parameter designing is to get a reasonablechoice of engine, motor and battery.Thirdly, it adds the vehicle control strategy and imports the MATLAB interfaceof CRUISE in the Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow environment. It uses CRUISE do the vehicle performance simulation analysis of the hybrid sanitation truck and focuses onthe analysis of power and economic. Then it makes a comparison with the traditionalsanitation truck which is not repacked and verifies the effectiveness of the controlstrategy.Finally, it does the simulation analysis of the main parameters of the hybridenergy management strategy. This paper mainly studies the battery state of chargeSOC of the upper and lower limit and the impact that the change of minimum speedbrings to the economy.
