Chain as the basis of a very important part in the machinery industry in theindustrial areas of the chain has achieved a modern large-scale production. At present,with the progress of the society and the continuous development, the mechanical drivetechnology, especially the chain drive technology has been a good way to improve.More and more new technology, new energy, new process and new equipme ntcontinue to emerge. A large number of multi-functional use of new products appear inthe market, the practicality of the research results are paid more and more attention.Environment resistance, durability, abrasion resistance, reliability, low noise andhigh-intensity factors constitute a major consideration of the research process. Thiswill form the new trend of rapid development of chain drive industry.The chain drive in the machinery industry plays an irreplaceable role. Silentchain, in recent years, with the continuous development of the engines ofautomobiles, motorcycles, forklifts and other various industries has been paid moreand more attention. In the condition of low-noise, heavy duty, high-speed and largecenter distance, the transmission performance is superior to gear, the toothed beltdrive and roller chain drive. In this paper, as the object of study based on the roundpin type silent chain pitch and chain length, specific studies are as follows:1. This paper briefly described the development and research status of the chaindrive, compared the advantages and applications with belt drive and gear drive, andintroduces several failure modes of the type of chain and chain drive; describedbackground of the development of the silent chain, the necessity of research andscientific feasibility of the method, a brief introduction of the classification andcharacteristics of silent chain; clear the purpose of this research.2. This paper analyzes the impact of the parameters of the size of the chain composed of silent chain, including: silent chain chain plate hole center distancebetween the pin center and the chain plate holes center deviation, apothem, the insideof the work gear profile curvature radius.3. The silent chain is the same as roller chain in the calculation of chain lengthprecision, there are design requirements. Chain length of multiple chain is equal tothe chain pitch. Therefore, in order to study the chain length accuracy, we must alsostudy the composition of the chain pitch accuracy. This thesis proposes a dimensionalchain using the probability method solution to the round pin type silent chain pitch andchain length of the formula derivation, according to its structural features andexperimental verification of the different measurement methods, proposed twospecific programs: measuring section from the chain plate hole center projection onthe axis of connection between the distance to the work of the same side cha in platetooth profile curvature radius and the apothem; measuring pitch radius of curvature ofthe tooth profile of the board work with the side chain in the chain plate hole center thedistance between the projection axis connection. Research to make the paper could beused in the actual production to guarantee a reliable and practical, at the same timeinstructive.4. In this thesis, through the round pin type silent chain pitch and chain length ofthe formula derived results, after further analysis and derivation, obtained the relativedeviation of the number of a toothed chain and chain length curve. And specificexamples to prove the correctness and feasibility of the solution method.5. In order to prove the reliability of theoretical analysis, this paper also verifiedits experimental. Measured parts parameters of the silent chain pitch and chain length,analysed different segments of the process capability index on the tooth shape chain,experimental data proved the validity of the conclusions of theoretical analysis.Provide a theoretical basis for factory production, manufacture, installation of pinsilent chain.
