Design And Implementation Of Automobile Crash Sensor Simulation System

With the development of automobile electronics and the improvement of automobile safety, more and more vehicle is equipped with ABRS(air bag restraint system).Electronic control unit (ECU) is a key components in ABRS. The research and test for ECU need crrash sensor’s data to support. If we take the measure of real crash using cars,we must pay high price,however the test is not comprehensive enough in this method.So in this paper,I present a simulator method and design a simulator system. This system can be used to simulate an automobile collision sensor system to provide the test signal to ABRS. The system integrates simulation functions of common collision sensors and the current sensors based PSI5protocal. The system can be used for ECU research and test.You can set the state of the collision sensor, the acceleration data, pressure data, and so on by software installed in PC. In doing so,the system provides the ECU detection and research with a wonderful tool.The whole design is achieved in the way of cards, each card can be configured into a sensor’s simulation according to the actual requirement, cards can communicate with eachother through CAN bus, the whole system is controlled by PC through ethernet.The hardware contains power up detection circuit, Manchester encoding and decoding circuit,CAN communication circuit, Ethernet communication circuit,and so on..The software part contains the real-time operating system transplant, ethernet communication software,CAN communication software, sensor simulation function software. We also provide user a contol software, you can simply use the system using this software.The system has been tested and verifyed in practical use.It can simulate the automobile collision sensors system very well.
