"5.12" painful experience learned warned us that, once the secondary disasters caused by traffic throat as a bridge seriously damaged to bring the casualties and property loss is immeasurable.China’s vast western region, the seismic zone extends along the mountains both high and steep, a large amount of bridges using continuous rigid frame bridge often need to set up a high bridge pier, if which were damaged in the earthquake, the repair work is very difficult, that will seriously affect the road smooth for saving lives after the earthquake. In this thesis, take Xingfu Bridge for example to analyze seismic response of the bridge in different types of pier, which mainly use the Ansys finite element software in order to establish the finite element model by bridge discrete, and the analyzing and comparing with the dynamic analysis of seismic response of bridge, research in the areas of high earthquake intensity, the high piers of bridge should use what kind of substructure and better resistance to the seismic loading. It is composed of several aspects as follows:In this thesis, the calculation methods of static method, response spectrum and t dynamic time history analysis are analyzed and compared, And the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are summarized. The thin-wall hollow pier, single column pier and normal winshaftpier were used for substructure to calculate with response spectrum and dynamic time history analysis, as well as comparing the internal force and shape distortion, and make a suggestion for choosing what kind of high pier form ofcontinuous rigid frame bridge in the areas of high earthquake intensity.thin-wall hollow pier use power spectrum in accord with the specification to analyze the displacement of the critical points, and capering with response spectrum. It is expected to give some references for practical seismic design of continuous rigidframe bridge.
