With the high speed developing of economy, Chinese railway passenger traffic volume and forecast freight volume have been soaring at a high rate of speed, therefore rail line appearing overloading condition that so that the steel rail have been seriously damaged. The usage Period, maintenance period and replacing period of the steel rail have been shorten. The large-scale on-line rail remolding machines that our country used now are almost import machines from western country and the application study of this technology has been in the beginning. Based on the situation, this paper put forward the application study, which has Realistic Significance. This paper studies and analyses the physical-chemical characteristic, the workability characteristic, material deformation theory in the process of cutting and metal cutting temperature theory of the steel rail material that our country popular use. Based on study and analysis, material model, cutting separation standards, cutting tool and work piece materials friction type have been deduced and selected reasonably using finite element method and the finite element model of milling high manganese steel material process has been established, as well as the simulation experiment project has been designed. Also the simulation experiment project has been completed by finite element software DEFORM-3D which used in mechanical processing field widely. The paper gets the result that cutting force changing and cutting temperature field distribution rule of the process of milling high manganese steel material via the simulation test data analysis and connecting theory. The way that how to optimize the cutting parameters of high manganese steel cutting to improve operation efficiency has been discussed and the corresponding a tentative plan has been put forward as well. To sum up, the application study of the whole paper provides certain theoretical basis and development direction in researching and developing independently large steel rail on-line remolding equipment in our country in the future.
