With the development of high-speed railway, the speed of train has constantly improved in recent years. As the result, the reliability of the overhead line is especially important. The overhead line which is characterized as tall and large span, higher flexibility and is sensitive to the wind load has the property of the strong nonlinearity. Because a large number of the mighty wind areas have been acrossed by the Lan Xin railway and the Nanjiang railway, the damage on the overhead line structure caused by wind load is one of destructional forms which crops up frequently.The overlapping is the transition region between pantographs on the electric locomotive. Once the failure occurred on it, the train will be taken off that threatens the safety and reliability of the catenary. So the safety problem is the main consideration of electric upgrading of Lanzhou to Xinjiang railway.The paper researches on four-span insulated overlapping sections of the overhead contact line system in the strong wind area along Xinjiang railway. The finite element model has been carried out by ANSYS and the APDL command language. Based on an overall consideration of the structural characteristics of the overlapping sections and the material property of the parts, the structures of suspended and support has been the finite element model of the suspend’s and support’s structures has been done. By using nonlinear transient analysis method, the analysis has been done on the fluctuation wind load with different wind speeds. And the influence of the wind-resistance stabilities of catenary structure by suspended structure’s parameters is also been analyzed. The results are compared with the traditional computing method which only does the static computation on the mean wind. So the reference can be offered to the design of the overhead line structure.At the same time, some researches has been done on the vibration characteristic of the overlap influenced by suspended structure parameters. This paper calculated the work loads under various conditions by using ANSYS in terms of reliability research on the component. Based on the stress-intensity interfere theory, the fuzzy mathematical theory and method has been applied. Then the calculation of the locator reliability can been made by the numerical recipes software MATLAB. And the results is compared with that of the conventional reliability research method. The influence on the fuzzy reliability calculations on the locators by the different membership functions is also been studied. And the effect on fuzzy reliability calculations by choosing the different threshold on the same membership function was submitted to anslysis.And the traditional reliability calculation models have been improved.
