Polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted great attentions in recent years because of their advantages of simple fabrication processes (spin-coating, spray-coating, blade-coating), low cost, light weight, and flexibility in large-area applications. But the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of the PSCs are still low in comparison with their inorganic counterpart. To improve the performance of PSCs, we carried out the research work from three aspects:optimization of the device structure, the optimization of the battery interface and design of new materials. The main studies are focused on the following aspects:(1) In order to improve the stability of the PSCs, the inverted PSCs structure of ITO/TIPD/PBDTTT-C:PC71BM/MoO3/Al were fabricated. we use an alcohol-soluble titanium chelate-TIPD as the electron selective layer. The PCE of the inverted PSC with T1PD electron selective layer reached7.36%under the illumination of AM1.5G,100mW/cm2, which is increased by14%in comparison with that (6.44%) of the device with the conventional structure under the same experimental conditions.(2) We fabricated an efficient polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on P3HT:PCBM (IC60BA) blend by using two alcohol-soluble materials substitute for acidic poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS) as hole collection layer (HCL), Molybdenum oxide bis (2,4-pentanedionate)(MoOAA) and Vanadium oxide bis (2,4-pentanedionate)(VOAA). The PCE of the P3HT:PC61BM (IC60BA)-based PSC with MoOAA modification layer reached4.32%(6.38%), and when use VOAA as the HCL, the PCE reached4.24%and6.20%respectively.(3) PSCs with dihydronaphthyl-based C60bisadduct derivative-NC60BA as electron acceptor and poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) as electron donor were fabricated and characterized with the device structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT: NC60BA/Ca/AI. The photoactive layer was fabricated by solvent annealing process. The effects of donor/acceptor blend ratio, prethermal annealing temperature were investigated. After optimization, the PCE the PSC reached5.37%with Voc=0.82V, Jsc=9.88mA/cm2,and FF=67%under the illumination of AM1.5G,100mW/cm2. Since NC60BA is amorphous in nature, the PSCs based on P3HT:NC60BA exhibited much improved thermal stability, the PCE slightly decreased from5.17%to4.55%even after heat treatment for20h at150℃.
