Straight line conjugate internal meshing gear pump is a kind of hydraulic powercomponent using straight line and straight line conjugate tooth profile as a pair of meshingtooth profile, which is designed by novel and advanced technology. It has many advantages,such as compact structure, small flow pulsation and pressure pulsation, high working pressure,low noise, good self-priming performance, smooth transmission, not sensitive to mediumpollution. Also, because of the internal gear takes the hydrodynamic hydrostatic oil filmlubrication, the pump can be used for long time, etc.Based on the pre-existing research results of QX51-080R straight line conjugate internalmeshing gear pump,this paper focuses on improving the volumetric efficiency and workingpressure, reducing the noise and flow pulsation, and providing a theoretical foundation forstraight line conjugate internal meshing gear pump’s research through the analysis and studyof the pump’s characteristics including meshing, trapped oil, statics, clearance leakage anddynamic engagement force, etc.The peculiarity tooth affects the performances of the straight line conjugate internalmeshing gear pump. According to the structure and working principle, based on gear meshingtheory and differential geometry theory, at first,this paper inferred the tooth profile equationand meshing equation of pump using "Tooth profile normal method" and "Based on themeshing angle of the tooth profile method" respectively, compared with the differences ofthese two different methods, and got the formulas of curvature radius, meshing boundarypoint and contact ratio of profile, etc.For another, trapped oil phenomenon is the one of main source of noise and vibration forthe gear pump. This paper derived the formulations for the trapping volume and trappingvolume rate viewing on the calculation, and showed the pump trapped oil properties throughthe examples.In addition, as a pair of meshing transmission gears, radial force is the main factor whichaffects the axial’s strength and stiffness. Therefore, the article discussed the radial force ofstraight line conjugate internal meshing gear pump; Checked and calculated strength andstiffness of transmission shaft and bending strength of gears. Also, according to the failureforms of the annular gear, proposed the static pressure supporting measures, and analyzed thestatic pressure support principle. As well as calculated the static pressure support slot’s angleand position in the annular gear.Moreover, as a result of fixed clearance structure, the gear pump exists the problem ofleakage, so this paper set up the mathematical model on internal leakage flow of pump, andcalculated the best clearance value in gear pump. At last, the3D model for straight line conjugate internal meshing gear pump wasestablished in this paper, also, the dynamic engagement force of this kind of pump wassimulated and analyzed.
