Judging from home and abroad research status of semi-rigid connections node found thatfor steel frame semi-rigid connection nodes, research is mainly concentrated in thestrong-axis connections,but for the same common weak-axis connections, the relative lag; Inthe domestic engineering design and calculation, there is no standard follow for theSemi-rigid connection, and it needs to be further research, to enrich the node database;Strong-axis semi-rigid connection nodes seismic research have made some achievements, butfor weak-axis semi-rigid connection nodes seismic research data is very scarce, so it isnecessary to further; Previous studies mainly directed at the nodes are research planeframework, no account of influence each other of the strong and weak axis,so it is necessaryto discuss the mechanical properties of the space semi-rigid connection nodes.As a kind of semi-rigid connections,end-plate connections node can increasedamp,prolong period,and improve energy consumption capacity of the structure.So it canreduce the damage,and is one of the best forms for resisting earthquake. This papersystematically analyses the behavior of beam-to-columb minor-axis end-plateconnections,which is of great significance.Combination of long-term semi-rigid joints research of Research Group, thispaper aims to analyze the weak-axis end-plate connections performance under uniaxialloading and cyclic loading force, to analyze Semi-rigid performance of the connections,toanalyze the influence of the strong-axis in space node.First, the test about the weak-axis semi-rigid end-plate connection node of uniaxialloading has been finished. On this basis, this paper has realized the finite element analysisusing the ANSYS software. In the results,we compared the specimen failure mode, thestress and strain distribution, yield load, ultimate load, and the initial rotational stiffness, toverify the model correctness.Then, the probabilistic sensitivity analysis considering the correlation of joint geometricparameters was conducted based on the finite element probabilistic design analysis. A kindof special expression between the geometric parameters and the moment-rotations wasdiscussed according to the correlations and the regression lines of scatter plot between the geometric parameters and the joint rotations. The parameters of the new moment-rotationmodel have notable physical meaning.Again, on the basis of the analysis in the previous section, this paper analyze themechanical properties of connections under cyclic loading, to study the hysteretic behavior.Finally, the plane frame nodes extended to the nodes in space, and four kinds of spacenodes are designed in this paper. A systematic study of the performance of the weak-axisend-plate connections has been realized in this paper.
