Near these decades, the state with tense traffic and city traffic congestion is aggravatedconstantly with the swift and violent development of global economy. As the city roadnetwork pattern has already forming, the land resource development space shrinking, onlydepending on the method of building and widening roads, that will occupy the city landresource, to solve the city traffic congestion problem was less effective. Especially in urbancenters, where development degree is high level and the construction density is great, thismethod even not be implemented. Therefore, arterial road coordinate control, with theadvantages of lower cost and higher benefit, is attracted more and more attention of expertsand traffic managers. In recent years, as a kind of management way which can solve thetraffic problem effectively, it has been widely used in the large a cities. At the same time, withthe maturity of the bus priority management concept, bus signal priority control method hasalso been widely used in the large citiesArterial road coordinate control and bus signal priority control both have a good effect toalleviate city traffic congestion, But the two kind of control mode have certain contradictionin their control objectives. Among them, the arterial road coordinate control pursue benefitmaximization of social vehicles, otherwise the bus signal priority control pursue benefitmaximization of bus vehicles. When the two control modes simultaneously applied to the citytraffic management, the contradictions between the intersection signal timing plans and theright-of-way allocation which based on the different control method will appear. In this case,there is a realistic significance for us to know how to effectively coordinate the two controlmethods and realize the bus signal priority under the arterial road coordinate control.In the study of a new kind of control method that bus signal priority under the arterialroad coordinate control problems, this paper fully consider limitation that the arterial roadcoordinate add to the bus signal priority. And on this basis, put forward limitations of thetiming parameters and offset change that the arterial road coordinate add to the bus signalpriority. Also put forward control strategy and relevant control process that may be adopted.Through analyzing the shortage of control process, this paper proposed improved suggestionsand established a control process of bus signal priority, which is more tally with practice.In accordance with the control method of route, Make an investigation on RealizationMethod of bus signal priority under the arterial road coordinate control. This paper first putforward the Thought of priority Control, analysis bus signal priority trigger conditions, andprovides a basis for the bus signal priority. Then, for the applicants contradiction problems of bus signal priority, established the intersection efficiency evaluation model and strategyselection model, to decide whether to adopt bus signal priority and adopt which prioritycontrol strategy. Finally established the bus priority signals timing optimization model, realizecoordination between the road green and bus signals, and the coordination of theintersection-intersection.
