The central air-conditioning system accounts for a large proportion of the energy in officebuildings, hotels and so on. Also reasonable operation parameters directly affect the wholesystem energy-saving and then affect the energy conservation of the whole building. With thecontinuous improvement of energy saving and emission reduction requirements and increasedcost of edifices operation consumption year by year, performance test of centralair-conditioning system has great significance for improving the management level of abovesystem. In this paper, relative tests about cross-flow type cooling tower are done and itsoperation performance is evaluated, also some suggestions after reconstruction are putforward according to equipment particularity in central air-conditioning system.Firstly operation and performance parameters of cross-flow cooling tower areanalyzed.Secondly position and numbers of test parameters distributing points are determinedaccording to its installation position and overall condition. And then performance testplatform of limited space cross-flow cooling tower is built in this paper.Cooling tower in transition and hot period are respectively tested to get the parameters ofcooling water and inlet and outlet air. Through the statistics of experiment data, coolingability in above two special periods and the influence all parameters has on cooling towerperformance are analyzed.The test results indicate: cooling ability of cooling tower can meet the demand of centralair-conditioning system in transition period.However, it cannot in hot period; cooling waterflow is far lower than design flow of cooling tower in two periods; gas-water ratio is higherthan normal value except the first test condition which is similar to normal value in transitionperiod.However,it is always higher than normal value in hot period; inlet tower air reflowrate is close to normal in transition period and it is higher than normal in hot period; inlet airreflow rate of A side is higher than B side in transition period and it is opposite in hot period;The bottom water temperature in each test condition differences greatly but the distributionalmost the same change trend in two periods; noising tests exceeds the demand maximum value.
