Compare with the developed countries of the world,the line-loss rate of the powernetwork of China is still high,so the potential of power save is also great.By the nmanagementconceptions of the power company have been upgraded,the line-loss rate of the powernetwork of China will be advanced in the world with adopting modern managementmethod,giving up extensive management,making better use of quantitative,operable andexaminable scientific management methods,reducing the irrational line-loss to the least as itcan be.This is not only the main aspect of the modern management of the power company,butalso the necessary condition for the development of the power company.At first, this thesis research on the necessity and feasibility of the issue. Secondly, thisthesis systematically expounds the relationship between six factors and distribution networklossess, such as the operating voltage, wire model, distribution transformer, three-phaseunbalance, load fluctuations and the capacitor. Finally, an mathematical model for distributionnetwork energy saving is presented, whose object is to minimize the total operation cost, Themain ideal of this mode is that first describing the feeders’ state and making the power flowcalculation, then carrying out the assessment of feeders’ potential in energy saving and lossesreducing by adopting the following modules: the module of integration of wire replacementand reactive power optimization, the module of transformers with high energy consumptionreplacement, the module of three-phase imbalance change, the module of control strategy ofreactive power compensation, the module of operating voltage adjustment, the module ofreducing the10kV feeders’ radius and so on, finally it presenting the best optimal strategy bycomparing the achievement and investment then through the calculation of this model as thebasis for programming, so that we can get optimal results.The paper produces the bestmodification scheme of two typical feeders based on the assessment result of feeders’potential of energy saving and losses reducing. The assessment result shows the feasibilityand effectiveness of this mode, thus it should be given further promotion and more research.The assessment results will play guiding role in the aspects of operation and management.Finally, the rapid development of the current city in China at the same time, urban loaddensity is also high-speed growth. In this paper, we carry out the existing distribution networkline for20kV transformation from a technical analysis of the feasibility and necessity oftransformation,because it can reduce the75%line loss and reduce line the loss rate of theentire network greatly. Therefore the power grid can adapt to the development of electricityand in favor of energy conservation, improve energy efficiency, with some guidance and practical significance.
