Steel-polyurethane elastomer sandwich plate is composed of two steel face plates and polyurethane core layer, the elastomer core material and the steel plate surface firmly bonded to form a new composite structure. This system has been used in abroad for new bridge deck, bridge deck replacement and repair of bridge deck reinforcement and other applications.And in bridge deck engineering, in order to improve the bearing capacity, most of the structure is designed to orthotropic sandwich plate with the stiffening rib. At present, because of the steel-polyurethane elastomer orthotropic sandwich structure bridge deck not been used in domestic, and no corresponding design specifications and standards, in the paper, based on the bending theory formula, the research on the stability of steel-polyurethane elastomer orthotropic sandwich structure bridge deck has been carried out. And then with the calculation example, comparative analysis on the finite element model, in order to verify the correctness of the formulas, for the application of the polyurethane-steel sandwich structure technology in the country to provide reliable evidence.Firstly, according to Hoff theoretical assumptions, the bending properties of isotropic sandwich plate was analyzed by the balance method, primarily on the bending stress formula of simply supported sandwich plates under local uniform load. The calculating processes of theory formula and finite element analysis were displayed by an example, which can verify the correctness of the formula.Secondly, the bending performance of orthotropic sandwich plate was analyzed by the energy method, and an example was also given to verify the correctness of the formula and the convenience of the energy method for analyzing orthotropic structure. In addition, the stress and deflection values were compared which are example one and two at the key points respectively, so that you can clearly see the role of stiffening rib on behavior improvement of bridge deck.Again, the buckling critical load formula of sandwich plate was still deduced by the energy method, which with four simply supported constraint in a double compression case. Due to the existence of the rib, which makes the formula complex, so in this paper, the solution was presented for a case with only one stiffening rib.Finally, the stability property, which is of steel-polyurethane sandwich plate, was analyzed by finite element method. In this paper, taking a sandwich plate with three stiffening rib as an example, after static analysis and buckling analysis, we can obtain the stress of the top and floor and the top5order buckling especially value coefficient, and analyze the influence of gravity on critical load.On this basis, changing the stiffening rib number, in order to analyze the influence of which to the critical buckling load.In short, researches, which are about bending, stability property analysis and structure design of steel-polyurethane sandwich plate system bridge deck, will have an important reference value to the design and research of the steel bridge deck system in our country.
