In the21st century, the energy crisis, environmental problems have become increasinglyserious. To resolve the threat, the key is to vigorously develop renewable energy. Solar widelydistributed, and huge capacity, is more and more attentioned by the world. Solar photovoltaicmodules directly converted sola energy into electrical energy, is an effective way of usingsolar energy. However, the price of PV panels is still high and the conversion efficiency of PVmodules is low, for wihich greatly restricted the promotion of photovoltaic power generationsystem. In order to improve the performance of PV systems, the need for PV systems is thecontrol algorithm to improve and optimize.This article will focus on small-scale photovoltaicpower generation system controller in-depth study.The main points are improving thephotovoltaic array maximum power tracking control algorithm and the battery charge anddischarge algorithm, these all in order to enhance the overall performance of small PVsystems. In the end, do the hardware design and ultimately design the controller of small-scalephotovoltaic power generation system based on DSP Application of TMS320LF2812.The main work of this paper is as follows:1, Do the overall design and controller hardware design,then and explain its working principleand the core algorithm;2, Analysis of the basic working principle of the research and photovoltaic cells and outputcharacteristics, and comparative analysis of the common types of PV maximum powertracking control algorithm to design a modified incremental conductance method for theapplication of this system;3, Analysis the basic structure of a battery and study the battery how to work,combing withthe characteristics of this system, design of the battery charge and discharge algorithm in thissystem;4, Build a computer simulation platform, simulate of this system of hardware and softwaredesign;5, Do the hardware design of the small-scale photovoltaic power generation system controller,focusing on the main circuit topology and circuit parameters;6, Develop an experimental prototype controller of the small-scale photovoltaic powergeneration system, write the control algorithm software, the continuous improvement ofdesign is modifying the relevant parameters, inoder to letting the experimental prototypeworking stable and reliable.In this paper, through the theoretical study of small PV systems, we design the improved control algorithm of maximum power and battery charge and discharge controlalgorithm.Then we develope an experimental prototype of small-scale photovoltaic powergeneration and verifie it through simulations and experiments.The result is that the design ofthe control algorithm is stable and reliable and the overall system cost is low.Therefore, thereare large-scale applications of this research to promote small-scale photovoltaic powergeneration system with certain guiding significance.Topic of this paper comes from the projects of Guangdong Key Laboratory of CleanEnergy Technology: science and technology project of Guangdong(2010A010200004),produce-learn-research projects of Ministry of Education of Guangdong(2009B090300424).
