With the development of economic, the previous single shopping mode can’t meetgrowing needs of people. As a means of commercial space, indoor commercial walkingstreet is playing a more and more important role in these days. It arose this researchsubject.In the second chapter, it analyzed the domestic and foreign development course ofindoor commercial walking street in the view of concept and characteristics. After thatit defined the research object clearly. In the third chapter, it point out the problemsexisting in the design of indoor walking street by comparing the domestic andinternational, cities of first and second-tier in domestic. In the fourth chapter, itanalyzed space environment needs of indoor commercial walking street in the view ofconsumers’ demand. In the fifth chapter, it returned to the view of design, and focusedon the analysis of indoor commercial walking street shopping space, dinning space,entertainment space, entrance space, street space, atrium space shape, line, colorenvironment, light environment and various elements of space, design principles andmethods. This part is the core of this thesis. In the sixth chapter, it gave a prospect ofthis subject, and proposed the thought of integration, intelligence, experience,regionalization, ecological. Finally, it tried to do some innovative design of indoorwalking street in the seventh chapter. It introduced the concept of commercial spacewith experience, and proposed the design method. Imperfect oriented identifies systemis the most common and the least attention problem in the design of indoor commercialwalking street. It proposed some design method to solve this problem.
