Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are widely used in industry and play an important role in the national economy because of its excellent characteristics. As the awareness and demands of saving energy arise, research and development of heat exchangers is becoming more and more urgent. The CAD technology has been used in every field. The research and development for design and manufacture of heat exchanger by CAD technology is the general trend in the field of heat-exchanger equipment.This article mainly studies the CAD technology of shell-and-tube heat exchangers using object-oriented technology and parameterization design method, and analyses the design process, calculate method and optimization design method of heat exchangers, combines the conceptions of heater exchanger design and CAD, then establishes the system model applied to shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The author builds and completes databases on materials and standard parts. On this basis, we make further development to SolidWorks with Visual Basic language, finally get a integrate heat exchanger design system.In this dissertation, first according to the design calculate process and using program language, calculate and design program of heat exchange and friendly interface are compiled. Users just need to choose suitable condition parameter and original structural parameters according to their demands, then the computer will calculate the result, and give the three-dimensionalmodel, also can generate two-dimensional drawing automatically.In this dissertation, parameterization design of heat exchangers based on the entransy dissipation theory and the genetic algorithm is studied. The optimized thermodynamic parameters, resistance parameters and structural parameters can be calculated based on the minimum entransy dissipation, and optimized three-dimensionalmodel and two-dimensional drawing can be generated. The software can be used in thermodynamic calculation, resistance calculation and structural calculation of segmental baffle shell-and-tube heat exchangers(STHXs), STHXs with continuous helical baffles and STHXs with non-continuous helical baffles.The CAD system of shell-and-tube heat exchangers in this article realizes the integration of Technological design, Mechanical design, Parameterization design and two-dimensional drawing for heat exchangers. With using of this system, not only energy can be saved, the design quality and efficiency can be enhanced, expenditure invested in the equipment can be cut, but also development cycle of new production can be shorted, the design of heat exchangers can be optimized, engineers can be broken away from repetition labor.
