Today’s society, humans increasing emphasis on sustainable development of cities, the city’s ecological construction, and urban green space system to promote sustainable urban development, maintenance plays an important role in the urban ecological balance. However, at this stage, China’s urban green space system research focuses on the functions of urban green space, structure, economic benefits, landscape and otheraspects of qualitative research for the ecological effects of urban green space is still relatively small, especially on urban green space ecology the quantitative study of theeffectof a defect. Fiery development of the global eco-city construction, the concern forthe ecological effects of urban green space system becomes increasingly meaningful. In this paper, on the basis of the access to a large number of related documents, pointed out the flaws in the current evaluation system of urban green space system, summarized the research results of the evaluation system of urban green space system layout and the related concept of the urban heat island effect of urban green space and ecological planning of urban green space system theory and method, and reviewed the planning and development course of urban green space system and the research progress of green parks to mitigate the urban heat island effect. Based on the analysis of green space to alleviate the heat island effect of the cooling mechanism and the cooling effect, this paper proposed its own evaluation method. This evaluation method is based on the ecological benefits of easing the heat island effect of urban green space, supported by GIS technology, and to make an ecological assessment of the rationality of the Urban Green Space System. The paper integratedly applied multidisciplinary methods and theories, including urban ecology, urban aesthetics, urban geographic information systems, botany, etc., To achieve cross-use through computer, and created the methods of urban green space system planning and evaluation system, which has a far-reaching significance on guiding urban planning, eco-city construction, and urban green space system construction.
